Solitary Bee Bamboo Tubes

Create a bee-friendly area in your outdoor space with your own bee hotel!

As you may already know, we are extremely passionate about successfully installing & maintaining your bee hotel. These replacement bamboo tubes are drilled specially for solitary bees in a range of sizes from 5mm to 10mm and made from FSC certified wood.

These nesting tubes are available in two bundles:

Bundle 1 – Ready to make your own bee/bug hotel at home - 85mm length so ideal for DIY tin bee hotels, approx 90 pieces so can be used for multiple projects.

Bundle 2 – Cut to length to replace in your Beevive Bee Hotel - 150mm in length, approx 50 pieces.

*Both bundles come with a seed ball match box and checklist for installation*

How do they work?

During the Spring and Summer female solitary bees will lay eggs in the tubes and collect dabs of mud and leaves from nearby plant beds to create cells walls along the tube seal the eggs inside. Over the winter the larvae (baby bees) will grow up in their tube and emerge in the Spring to start the life cycle all over again.
