What keyring colour(s) sell best?

It really depends on your customers and their style - which is why we recommend starting with a mix of all four colourways to gauge interest. Our top-seller is the original gold, but it pairs well with a neutral black or anthracite grey. For something a little eye-catching, rose gold is always a favourite!

Do you offer point of sale?

Yes! We provide POS displays for both our DIY Bee Hotel Kits and Keyrings, with the following minimum order quantities:

Bee Hotel Kits: 60+ units
Keyrings: 80+ units

How does the customer refill the keyring?

Customers can easily refill their bottle at home:

1. Mix a 50/50 solution of white granulated sugar and water.
2. Fill the capsule using the measurement lines on the bottle.

Important: Never use honey or brown sugar – these can be harmful to bees.
Alternatively, you can stock our pre-filled replacement bottles, which contain Ambrosia® bee food syrup. This syrup has a high sugar concentration and is resistant to spoilage, making it a long-lasting, convenient option that encourages customers to return to your store for refills!

What does the tag do?

Each tag features a QR code to scan with your mobile that links to our bee identification guide. This allows customers to identify the type of bee they’ve seen or saved - making it both an educational tool and a bee-rilliant gift!

What’s the minimum spend for free carriage?

We offer free carriage on orders over £200.

Do I need to replace the tubes in the bee hotel?

Yes, we recommend purchasing replacement tubes once a year and replacing the tubes once all the bees have hatched. The tubes can be placed in a sheltered spot outdoors if you’re unsure if any bees are left inside when you insert the new tubes into the hotel. You can purchase replacement tubes here

Should I bring the hotel indoors in the winter?

If you have a sheltered outdoor space such as a shed, we recommend storing the bee hotel there during the cold wet months November – March. Do not store your bee hotel indoors as the warmth of your home may confuse the baby bees and cause them to emerge prematurely.

How long does the bee hotel take to build?

It takes less than 20 minutes to build on your own or with a child under adult supervision.
