Description

Welcome solitary bees into your garden and experience their pollinating powers with this DIY Bee Hotel Kit, proudly designed, hand-assembled and packed from our studio in Exeter, UK 🐝

🌟 Most recently awarded Gift of The Year 2024 in the design and craft category 🌟

Made in the UK from sustainably sourced Panguaneta poplar plywood, this kit is designed to be posted through your letterbox and constructed at home to provide a safe space for female solitary bees to build nests and lay their eggs.

Solitary bees are a joy to watch and are non-aggressive, therefore child and pet friendly. They don't live in colonies (unlike bumblebees and honey bees) and are facing a crisis having lost much of their natural habitat - they need your help!

F.A.Q's

Do you offer point of sale?

Yes! We provide POS displays for both our DIY Bee Hotel Kits and Keyrings, with the following minimum order quantities:

Bee Hotel Kits: 60+ units
Keyrings: 80+ units

What’s the minimum spend for free carriage?

We offer free carriage on orders over Β£200.

Do I need to replace the tubes in the bee hotel?

Yes, we recommend purchasing replacement tubes once a year and replacing the tubes once all the bees have hatched. The tubes can be placed in a sheltered spot outdoors if you’re unsure if any bees are left inside when you insert the new tubes into the hotel. You can purchase replacement tubes here

Should I bring the hotel indoors in the winter?

If you have a sheltered outdoor space such as a shed, we recommend storing the bee hotel there during the cold wet months November – March. Do not store your bee hotel indoors as the warmth of your home may confuse the baby bees and cause them to emerge prematurely.

How long does the bee hotel take to build?

It takes less than 20 minutes to build on your own or with a child under adult supervision.
